Who Will You Meet In A Pole Dancing Class
"Believe it or not, Jane. I thought I was going to meet a bunch of mean girls - like a sorority. I was so happy to see how kind everyone was."-- Laura Lee
The typical age range of a pole dancing studio is from 21 to 60 years old, with the bulk of ages in the late 20s to mid 40s. Recently, we had a lovely lady join our studio and she is in her 60s. It is a common misconception that pole dancing is for the young ( that's what I thought)!
You will meet doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, business owners, students, and stay at home parents.
Now let's talk about gender - do men pole dance?
In fact, yes they do! Sometimes we do have men take a class, because they genuinely want to learn pole. The male students who have been a part of our studio, have been respectful and trailblazers. In fact, one of our fave students won Canadian Pole Fitness Championships - Men's division 2015.
It has always been a goal of mine - to create a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels accepted and encouraged.
